As a small team, we are currently seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented individual with a desire to learn high-end fashion sales and learn how to assist in operating a retail store. As a key member of our team, you will be involved in all aspects of the business and leave with breadth and depth of knowledge in the fashion industry.
This is an unpaid internship. However, interns will receive a commission per generated sales. Additionally, we are amenable to supporting school credit arrangements. We will also offer a letter of recommendation, upon satisfactory completion of the internship. Required availability is for the Summer 2019 semester (May-August) and working full-time, including Saturdays. Local candidates ONLY (DC/MD/VA)

Responsibilities:
A. Operations Management
Play an integral role in all day-to-day store operations, from providing outstanding customer service to making sure the store is neat, clean and well-organized
Maintain calendar of appointments
Maintain inventory of merchandise
Run store errands
Manage creation of videos and images
Manage website development and eCommerce store
Fulfillments of on-site and online orders
Assist with store-wide events
Build lasting relationships with accounts by contacting them to follow up on purchases
Distribution or delivery of marketing materials
Provide efficient account management from order receipt to delivery of goods
B. Sales Management:
Create and manage new online marketplaces
To expand the Moh B. Couture brand and open new accounts
Work closely with CEO to develop weekly/monthly/annual sales strategies and campaigns, to maximize revenue opportunities
Maintain inventory records of all accounts and review with CEO on a monthly basis
Requirements:
Studies in Marketing and Advertising Communications or Public Relations
Position is remote (must live in the DC/MD/VA area as there will be opportunities to assist on set and at our local events), so applicants must have access to a working computer and internet
Knowledge or interest in the African fashion industry and global luxury fashion industry (preferred but not required)
Extensive knowledge of social media platforms including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google, as well as Mail Chimp and Hootsuite
Proven track record of knowing how to organically grow followers and increase social media engagement
Familiarity with social media analytics to effectively measure and evaluate content performance and make recommendations for future content strategies.
Experience with digital media software (i.e., Photoshop and/or other graphic design software, is a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Hard-working, self-motivated, attention to detail
