Shampoo Assistant Needed for Busy Salon
Position: Shampoo Assistant
Location:Blackbird Salon
Pay:Minimum DC hourly wage + tips from shampoos
Employment Type: Full time Tuesday-Saturday
Eligibility: Must be legal to work in the US and fluent in English
Responsibilities:
- Shampooing clients and assisting stylists with hair treatments
- Sweeping and maintaining cleanliness of salon floor and workstations
- Applying glosses or toners as directed by stylists
- Providing exceptional customer service, including getting drinks for clients
- Assisting with laundry, including washing, folding, and restocking towels
- Taking out trash and ensuring cleanliness of salon facilities
- Washing dishes and maintaining tidiness of breakroom area
- Supporting a team of 12 stylists with various tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a salon environment preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced setting
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in the beauty industry
