Viener4Gates is a national provider of Information Technology and security solutions founded in 1991. Our team is seeking the right candidate to expand our IT management practice in the DC and Baltimore metro area as well as nationally.

Technical Support Manager responsibilities include:
Provide on and off-site support to customers
Troubleshooting may include resolving hardware, network, security, and software issues
Maintain technical documentation for customers
Assume remote control over client devices when necessary to resolve problems
Be a “coach of the tech team” as part of the senior leadership
Technical Support Engineer skills include:
Minimum 4 years of experience in Information Technology or technical support
Extensive familiarity with Windows operating systems and Office365
Working knowledge of security software options and functionality preferred.
Knowledge of Watchguard Firewalls and remote servers a must.
Management experience a must.
CompTIA A+ and/or other certifications preferred!

Summary of Location
Field Operations Position servicing client sites on a national level, mainly east coast USA.
Monday – Friday approximately 8:50am – 5pm
Detailed Responsibilities
Provide end user support on-site at client locations.
Provide end user support remotely.
Operate within a ConnectWise Service Desk environment
Troubleshoot and resolve customer IT issues
Restore files from backup
Troubleshoot network issues
Ability to troubleshoot Virtual machines and disks
Ability to create basic firewall rules and configs focused on Watchguard
Update ticket notes and details daily
Participate in the daily team calls, currently scheduled for 8:50a weekdays
Preforms deployments and new system setups
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds rarely
Must be able to perform frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and turning.
Must be able to perform occasional reaching over shoulder height, waist level and from floor.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work in an unsupervised environment.
Must be able to drive / sit for extended periods of time.
Fast Paced Environment with competing priorities
Must have a valid driver’s license in the state you reside and access to an insured vehicle for travel to client sites /
office.
Ability to work in an office environment while sitting at a desk for extended periods of time.
