IT Manager - Full-Time Position

We are a national provider of Information Technology and security solutions, founded in 1991. Our team is seeking the right candidate to expand our IT management practice in the DC and Baltimore metro area, as well as nationally.
Responsibilities
- Manage other technicians, assist with running projects, and provide strategic thinking.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, network, security, and software issues.
- Maintain and update technical documentation.
- Lead and mentor the technical support team as part of the senior leadership.
- Operate within a ConnectWise Service Desk environment.
- Troubleshoot complex IT issues, including Intune deployments, virtual machines, and disk management.
- Configure and create firewall rules focused on WatchGuard Firewalls.
- Design and implement IP schemas for network infrastructure.
- Perform system deployments and new system setups.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of four years of experience in IT or technical support.
- Management experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Office 365.
- Working knowledge of security software functionality.
- Experience with WatchGuard Firewalls and remote server management.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or equivalent are preferred.
Location and Schedule
- Field operations position based in Rockville, MD servicing client sites nationally, primarily on the East Coast.
- Monday through Friday, approximately 8:50 AM to 5:30 PM.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds rarely.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and turning required.
- Occasional reaching over shoulder height, at waist level, and from the floor.
- Must be able to drive and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, unsupervised environment with competing priorities.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle for travel to client sites.
