Network Technician / Engineer

Growing Managed Service Provider seeking Network Technicians (all tier levels) and Engineers to fill immediate opening to accommodate growth. This is an in-office position and not remote.

Customer service is important as this is a position that interacts directly with our clients.

We are advertising for multiple tier levels as we want the person with the right attitude that fits our company!

Qualified candidate must be able to pass a background check and must also have a clean driving record. No major moving violations may exist in the previous 3 years. Driving records will be confirmed prior to employment.

Candidate will be responsible for assessing, supporting, designing, installation, troubleshooting, and maintaining client networks.

Technical Skills and Qualifications:

5 years of field experience (less if Tier 1 or 2)

Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues

Advanced knowledge of networking concepts – TCP/IP, NAT, DHCP, VPN, WAN

Ability to setup and/or troubleshoot servers utilizing Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022

Ability to setup, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019 and Hosted Exchange via Office 365

Expert knowledge of installing and configuring enterprise-level anti-virus software

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems and Office Products, including configuring of Microsoft Outlook

Expert knowledge of setting up and configuring wireless networks and network printers

Advanced knowledge of DNS and domain name management

Advanced knowledge of hardware and software firewalls, routers, and switches

Advanced PC repair – testing of hardware components; replacing hardware in servers, desktops, and laptops

Understanding of physical networking concepts, including terminating CAT5(e)/CAT6 cable

Experience with on and off-site backup solutions and data restoration

Knowledge surrounding HCI

Knowledge of smartphone devices and configurations (Android, iPhone)

Basic knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint

Basic knowledge of HTML, PHP, ASP

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 platforms

Microsoft certification is a plus, but not required

Self-starter with proven computer and networking expertise

Ability to work independently or with a team and efficiently manage time

Excellent customer service skills to include written and verbal communication

Excellent troubleshooting skills

Positive attitude

Ability to develop relationships with customers and promote products and services to clients and partners

Ability to assess technology needs and requirements
