Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-friendly Retail and Computer Support Specialist with prior experience in computer repair and tech support. This role combines hands-on technical work with in-store customer service and product guidance. You’ll work directly with customers, troubleshoot and repair a range of devices, and support the operations of a small but dynamic business.
This position offers a unique opportunity to build entrepreneurial skills and gain insight into the day-to-day operations of running a small business, including customer relations, inventory management, and service delivery. You will also have the chance to expand your technical expertise in corporate network installation and configuration, working on small business and home office setups as part of your professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues on Windows and Mac computers
Identify, source, and order replacement parts as needed
Create detailed repair estimates, including cost and turnaround time, and clearly communicate this information to customers
Perform data recovery services and advise customers on best practices for data backup
Set up and troubleshoot email accounts on PCs, Macs, and mobile phones
Provide remote support for off-site clients when needed
Resolve issues related to Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook configuration and troubleshooting
Process client invoices and assist with general store operations
Maintain up-to-date records of security software licenses for customers
Stay informed about the latest tech gadgets and accessories to guide customers who may be less tech-savvy
Assist in corporate and small office network setup, including routers, cabling, and wireless solutions
Support the business owner in daily operations and learn the behind-the-scenes functions of a small business
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in computer repair or technical support
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proficient in troubleshooting Windows and macOS systems
Strong working knowledge of email setup, and device integration
Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Must be comfortable working independently and in a small team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data recovery tools and remote support platforms
Familiarity with mobile device setup and syncing
Knowledge of network configuration, including routers, switches, and structured cabling
Interest in entrepreneurship or small business operations
