FedNet has an immediate opening for an ENTRY LEVEL Videographer support our News Video Operations – Training will be provided. Great position for new College Grads with media background. This position will work closely with other broadcast and production staff. The hire will ensure proper communication while maintaining continuity and quality in media operations.
Responsibilities: Provide daily video production throughout the Capitol Complex on the Hill / Ensure schedules and resources for personnel and technology align on a daily schedule / Coordinate daily logistical and video production needs with colleagues / Create and schedule recurring and ad hoc news events for editing /encoding / Ensure quality audio and lighting levels / Ensure successful creation and final digital placement of made video / Edit video with Adobe Premier and Adobe Media Encoder.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Broadcast, Engineering or related field, and/or equivalent work experience / Operational Knowledge of fiber optic technologies and coax transport, media encoding and decoding, ASI, video over IP, IPTV, standards converters, frame syncs / experience with broadcast test and measurement equipment / Facility with MS Office, cloud-based document and tracking protocols / Excellent communication skills, able to manage technical operations while interfacing with broadcast staff, streaming operations and vendors / Ability to prepare and deliver written and oral communications of complex matters.
Desired Characteristics: Excellent interpersonal skills / Ability to work well under the pressures of “live” event coverage / Experience with component level and/or broadcast television engineering maintenance.
