Duties:
- Inspect vehicles and automotive parts for defects, damage, or wear
- Use power tools and hand tools to perform inspections and repairs
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle systems, including mechanical, electrical, and structural components
- Identify and document any issues or problems found during inspections
- Follow established Virginia inspection and emissions procedures and guidelines
Qualifications:
- MUST have an active license from the VA State Police to conduct safety inspections and emissions
- Previous experience in automotive repair, service, or maintenance preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
- Proficient in the use of power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate findings and recommendations
