The owner of an established remodeling firm and a private car collector is looking for a candidate (helper) that is ready to change his career from auto body to the construction field. Owner is willing to help the career transition by teaching the construction/remodeling trades. The position is full-time or part-time. IMMEDIATE OPENING. You could start tomorrow.
Some days the candidate will be helping the owner to restore one of his cars and some days he will be working with our crew members in the construction field. Our construction work includes renovations, additions and whole house restorations. Our projects are currently limited to the areas of Arlington and Alexandria, so travel time will be a quick.
An ideal candidate should:
- Willing to work weekends (sometimes)
- Authorized to work in the U.S., NO EXCEPTIONS!
- Have valid driver's license. Being able to drive a stick is a plus.
- A strong attention to detail and a desire to do the best possible job.
- Be able to sand, buff and be familiar with auto body shop related products and methods
- Ability to work on ladders and scaffolds
- Have own transportation
- No smoking of cigarettes on the job site
- Must have good communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with clients and co-workers
Candidates should be willing to undergo a background check and possess a professional and personable demeanor.
Pay is based on experience and workmanship.
After 6 months of employment, the position includes 3 paid holidays.
