Well established commercial interior construction firm in DC Metro area looking for superintendent experienced in small to medium size tenant fit out projects. Superintendent is the direct liaison between client, landlord and architect. Professional appearance, leadership and communication are important to this position, they must present themselves well.
Requirements for this position:
Proficient in blueprint reading of all architectural and M/E/P construction documents. Use of e-mail (Outlook) and use of smartphone. Photograph and document job progress. Ability to work with tools (an as needed basis). Ability to direct and oversee in-house laborers, as well as subcontractors. Understanding of project schedule with ability to maintain schedule in conjunction with Project Manager. Valid driver's license along with transportation. Ability to maintain safety precautions. Maintaining a clean, safe job site. Ability to prepare and maintain as-builds drawings and daily job reports. Must have an understanding of detail and how it affects results. Perform subcontractor site meetings using "tool box talks". Ability to understand quality control.
