Position Overview:
The Home Construction Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of new home construction projects, from initial planning to final completion. This includes coordinating with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in residential construction management, with existing contacts of reputable subcontractors in the area.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all phases of new home construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
2. Coordinate with architects and engineers to review plans, specifications, and design details.
3. Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project schedules.
4. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
5. Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates on project status, budget, and any changes or modifications.
6. Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions without compromising quality or design integrity.
7. Continuously evaluate and improve construction processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of five years of experience in residential construction project management.
2. Proven track record of successfully managing high-end custom home projects from start to finish.
3. Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
4. Existing contacts of reputable subcontractors and vendors in the Falls Church and McLean, Virginia area is highly desirable.
5. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
6. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
7. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
