Nielsen Automotive Services is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles and heavy equipment
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
- Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Adhere to dealership and manufacturer guidelines for repairs
- Conduct heavy lifting and equipment repair tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Proficiency in working with diesel engines, Caterpillar machinery, and farm equipment
- Experience in dealership or heavy equipment operation preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and transmission systems
- Ability to weld and perform heavy lifting tasks
- Prior experience as a service technician in the automotive industry
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
