Position Overview
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for demolition projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop detailed cost estimates.
Perform quantity take-offs for demolition materials, labor, and equipment.
Prepare and submit bid proposals in accordance with deadlines.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
Collaborate with project managers to transition awarded projects smoothly from estimating to execution.
Stay current on industry trends, pricing, and local market conditions.
Qualifications
2+ years of estimating experience in demolition, construction, or related field (interior demolition experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of demolition methods, materials, and equipment.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office.
Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
