We are looking for a Lead Carpenter to join our team! Our primary focus is residential remodeling within Reston and close vicinity. This person will be responsible for the onsite project management, field activity and execution of each project according to plans, specifications, budget and schedule. Communication skills and professionalism are important as the Lead Carpenter will be our client's main contact onsite. Our company also requires a strong attention to detail and a focus on craftsmanship.
Requirements/Responsibilities:
- Skilled in the following - rough framing (walls/floors), finish trim (crown, base, casing) and cabinetry installation. This is a working position and requires performing demolition, framing, trim, punch-list completion, etc.
- A working knowledge of all trades - electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, masonry, drywall, painting, etc. You will be supervising our trade partners while onsite and this position requires this knowledge when inspecting their work.
- Documenting daily/weekly activities including subcontractor presence, client and designer requests and activities.
- Must be able to read plans, work independently and manage their own jobsite.
- Must have a positive attitude and want to contribute to a growing company.
- Must have reliable transportation and own tools.
- Valid driver's license and background check required.
