We’re hiring a reliable, skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain a 40-unit residential building in Congress Heights, Washington, DC. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience, works independently, and handles a wide range of repairs.
Responsibilities:
Inspect and maintain building systems: boiler, plumbing, electrical, appliances, structure.
Respond to tenant repair requests (leaks, boiler issues, electrical, etc.).
Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
Maintain common areas and building appearance.
Handle apartment turnovers: repairs, cleaning, painting, appliance checks.
Conduct move-in/move-out inspections.
Respond to emergencies as needed.
Qualifications:
5+ years of maintenance experience.
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, boiler, and mechanical systems.
Must have a drivers license and a vehicle
Strong troubleshooting, time management, and communication skills.
Physically able to lift, climb, and perform manual tasks.
Available for emergency on-call needs.
