Fleet Mechanic –
Limousine company in Leesburg, VA is looking for a fulltime skilled mechanic that is ready to hop in and take over the daily upkeep and repair of our fleet – consisting of cars and shuttle buses. This position requires a proactive individual who is willing to learn and adapt to new challenges. Tools provided. CDL License preferred.
Pay: $60,000 - $75,000 a year
Mechanic Responsibilities:
Maintain all company vehicles to a safe standard to include:
Troubleshooting and maintaining all repairs on non-diesel and diesel vehicles.
Vehicle components such as, but not limited to brakes, transmissions, tires, engines, and vehicle systems as electrical, air, and cooling are all to be maintained to manufacturer’s specification.
Determines method of repair and materials needed, within established expenditure limits and industry guidelines.
Updates and maintains fleet software.
Performs preventative maintenance on vehicles.
Report regularly on the status to the Fleet Manager.
Performs safety and service inspection of vehicles. Ensures that unsafe vehicles are not released for use.
Manage DVIR issues and paperwork, compliant with DOT standers.
Transporting vehicles to shops and buildings
Coordinates vehicle tows when necessary.
Evaluate downtime to ensure vehicles are returned to service expeditiously and are safe for use.
Coordinates repair of vehicle if service is required from outside vendor.
Requirements for the position Include:
Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Required)
Driver’s License and DOT medical card required, if CDL.
