Our busy and growing auto repair shop located in Laurel, MD 20707, is looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Writer. This individual will be the communication bridge between our technicians and customers, ensuring clear, accurate, and timely service updates.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers and assess their service needs
Write detailed repair orders and estimates
Coordinate with technicians to relay updates and timelines
Order parts and verify inventory
Maintain records of work performed and customer communication
Qualifications:
Experience as a service writer or similar customer-facing role
Solid understanding of auto parts and vehicle systems
Strong communication and organizational skills
Experience with shop management software is a plus
