Position: Transportation and Maintenance Personnel
Care Partners of America owns and operates several group homes and a day program in Leesburg and Sterling Virginia. We are seeking a qualified bus driver to transport our individuals to and from our residences. When not on transportation duties, other tasks include general maintenance around the residence.
About the Opportunity
1. This is a full-time position, primarily based at the day program.

Your Duties:
Ø Follow an assigned route and pick up passengers along that route
Ø Obey all traffic laws and drive the vehicle in a safe manner
Ø Assist Individuals in and out of the bus when needed
Ø Ensure that the bus is kept in a clean condition at all times
Ø Ensure all vehicles at the day program are refueled at the end of each week.
Ø Perform weekly inspections of all company vehicles, and follow up by taking vehicles for general inspections and mechanic check as needed
Ø Promote and provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers through excellent communication.
Ø When not on transportation duties you may be required to assist as a floor attendant at the day program. Floor attendant task include:
o Assisting with lifting/transferring
o Assisting with meal preparation and feeding
o Light housekeeping
o Light maintenance
o Participating in community activities and social interactions
o Attend required training
Ø When not on transportation duties you may be dispatched to the residence for general residential maintenance needs. Maintenance may include task such as:
o Light bulb changes
o Replacing fridge filters
o Replace HVAC filters
o Replace smoke detector batteries
Requirements:
Ø Possession of a valid driving license.
Ø Possession of a clean driving record.
Ø Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Ø Patience, compassion, and empathy for individuals with special needs
Ø Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols
Ø Must be able to stand, walk, sit, kneel, bend from the waist as needed.
Ø Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
