Description Robert Half is currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper to join the team of one of our esteemed clients. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting principles, and supporting the business’s overall financial health. Maintain Financial Records: Accurately record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries
Prepare Financial Reports: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory policies.
Budget Support: Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets, forecasting reports, and identifying discrepancies for timely resolution
Bank Reconciliation: Perform periodic reconciliations of bank accounts and resolve discrepancies effectively.
Payroll Processing: Ensure payroll data is accurate and submitted in a timely manner, including deductions, benefits, and tax compliance.
Compliance Adherence: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local accounting and tax regulations.
Assist External Audits: Provide necessary documentation and support during audits or tax filing processes.
System Management: Work proficiently with accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases to maintain organized financial records.
Other Responsibilities: Handle other bookkeeping-related tasks assigned by management or senior accountants as necessary.
Requirements
Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience
Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other financial software tools; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Understanding of GAAP: Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other applicable financial regulations.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills to interact with vendors, clients, and internal teams effectively.
Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
