Description We are seeking an experienced Cloud Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models and be proficient in both public and private cloud environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our cloud systems (AWS and Azure) run smoothly, securely, and efficiently to support the organization’s objectives.Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, managing resources to optimize performance, security, and cost.
Manage virtual machines, storage solutions, and network configurations in a hybrid cloud environment (public/private cloud).
Service Model Administration:
Oversee cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), ensuring that services are effectively managed and optimized for organizational needs.
Configure and monitor cloud-based applications to ensure high availability and performance.
Security & Compliance:
Implement and maintain security best practices across all cloud environments, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Perform regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and system patching to keep cloud infrastructure secure.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
Monitor cloud resources for health and performance, identifying and resolving issues promptly to maintain system availability.
Troubleshoot cloud-related issues, performing root cause analyses, and implementing long-term solutions.
Automation & Optimization:
Use automation tools to streamline cloud operations, including infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and configuration management.
Identify cost-saving opportunities within cloud environments by optimizing resource usage and selecting cost-efficient services.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Work closely with development, IT, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications and services.
Document cloud infrastructure configurations, policies, and procedures for reference and compliance.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.Experience: 3+ years in cloud administration or a similar role managing AWS and/or Azure environments.Certifications (preferred):
MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator Associate
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS service models
Experience with public and private cloud environments, specifically AWS and Azure
Proficiency with virtual machine management, storage solutions, and network configurations in cloud environments
Familiarity with cloud automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
Understanding of security frameworks and best practices in cloud computing
Skills & Abilities:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Effective communication skills for working across teams
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Detail-oriented and proactive approach to managing cloud resources
