Position Overview Infinity Systems Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Remote Site Technician supporting the GEARRS II contract at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The GEARSS II contract is the vehicle that the GPS program sustainment organization (SSC/CGG) uses to provide maintenance and operational support services for the GPS satellite tracking stations throughout the world. Primary Responsibilities The Remote Site Technician will provide daily organizational maintenance and logistic support for the GPS satellite tracking station on CCSFS with occasional on-call support required. Minimum Qualifications Analytical troubleshooting skills in order to resolve problems at a basic “organizational” level. Basic knowledge and understanding of electronics theory, such as microwave RF transmitter and receiver systems. Use of electronic test equipment, such as Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, AC/DC Voltmeter, Frequency Counter, & Communications Analyzer, Network Analyzer, cable tester. Basic knowledge of IP based network protocols. Proper use of general tools, such as a screwdriver, wrench, grease gun, and hand drill. Basic understanding of antenna mechanical drive train components such as motors, brakes, torque couplers, shafts, and gears. Comfortable working at heights, wearing a harness, lanyard and other climbing safety gear as required. Use of Technical Order and other official publications and directives in order to perform scheduled and corrective maintenance procedures. Use of Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) to document completion of scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance actions in the assigned work center. Basic knowledge of US Air Force Materiel Management procedures in order to maintain required levels of supply spare parts on-hand and readily available for immediate use. Additional duties such as COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO), Site Safety Representative, HAZMAT Coordinator, Corrosion Control Program, Restricted Area Escort, Facility Manager, Fire Warden, and others as required. Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree or in lieu of degree, equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
