Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the service industry, based in Clearwater, Florida. The role focuses on handling a variety of accounting tasks, including processing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and supporting the Controller in all closing responsibilities. Responsibilities: Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of journal entries. Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. Support the Controller in executing all duties related to month-end close. Handle both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) efficiently. Maintain the General Ledger with precision.This is a permanent position. Please reach out to Zoe Slater if you are interested.Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations, demonstrating the ability to process payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) function, including the ability to ensure that the company receives payment for goods and services offered to clients. Experience with Bank Reconciliations, demonstrating a strong understanding of the process of matching the balances in an entity's accounting records for a cash account to the corresponding information on a bank statement. Familiarity with General Ledger operations, including the ability to post and balance financial data in various complex ledgers to compile reports and financial statements. Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries, demonstrating a clear understanding of the process of recording financial transactions of a company.
