Work Hours/Shift:Full TimeYou Will Be Responsible For:
Answers all calls (internal and external) promptly and courteously, greeting all callers with "Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center, this is (your name), how may I help you?" Verifies all patient demographic information including insurance information and obtains copies of insurance cards and patient identification.
Obtains all patient demographic information including insurance information and obtains copies of orders and authorization for all scheduled services.
Develops good working relations with referring physicians.
Works with physician office staff in obtaining proper authorization or rescheduling unauthorized services.
Properly documents account notes in Order Facilitator to reflect action taken.
Provides quick and efficient patient scheduling to improve customer satisfaction and avoid delaying other departments.
Qualifications
What Will You Need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:High school diploma or equivalent educationEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Associate degree
6 months customer service experience
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:N/ALICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:N/AJob Summary:Scheduling Specialist coordinates reservations from physicians for specific procedures, out-patient procedures, and inpatient admissions or surgery admissions. Creates and inter-relations with patients, physicians, and their office staffs, nursing services, ancillary departments and volunteers.
