Tropic Shores Resort in Daytona Beach Shores, is a beach front resort looking for a Part Time Night Audit. We are looking for energetic team players to join our staff. Tropic Shores is an 80 unit Time Share Resort that is one of the best on the beach. Some job duties include checking guest in/out, collecting payments and answering guests questions, comments or concerns, please see job description below. Must be able to work nights and weekends. 3rd Shift Night Auditor Job Description
Provide excellent guest service to all guests. Responsible for checking guests in and out, answering all telephone calls, and guest inquiries. Provide information to guests on surrounding area and resort amenities. Use Guest service standards at all times.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Report to Front Desk Supervisor
Hours are 11:00pm to 7:00am
Check in/out Guests
Provide excellent guest service skills at all times, must adhere to the GUEST acronym at all times! (Greet, Undivided Attention, Enthusiastic Response, Smile, and Thank Guest at all times without exception)
Check departure folios; verify daily cash sheets and paperwork of all shift employees, ensuring all totals are accurate and posted correctly.
Close and reset credit card system; update no shows; run final night audit and associated reports.
Interact with resort accounting regarding all aspects of daily transactions, cash drops, credit cards etc.
Answering of all incoming telephone calls and transferring calls to appropriate guests or department employees as necessary.
Responsible for all aspects of resort telephone service (activating, and deactivating guests phones, setting up wake up calls, deleting old messages, providing broadcast message when necessary)
Communicate via radio to various departments.
Provide information on resort, amenities, local area attractions and events, directions, etc.
Learn resort software and be able to post transactions as necessary.
Complete cash and credit card transactions
Responsible for individual $300 cash bank
Responsible for maintaining and monitoring maintenance program (agent is responsible for entering work orders when received, and calling work orders in to appropriate departments)
Must maintain a clean and neat work environment at all times.
Must be able to follow appropriate chain of command to resolve issues.
Must secure all areas as directed by the resort policy.
Cross-train with all departments functions in order to cover during absences.
Various additional tasks and assignments as needed.
Job Requirements
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent guest service skills a must
Prior front desk/customer service experience preferred
Basic office skills helpful including basic math, proper cash handling procedures
Reservation software or proven aptitude and familiarity with computers and computer software in general
Must maintain a professional appearance and a cordial attitude towards all guests and staff
Must be people orientated and able to work independently or with others as needed
Must be able to easily and frequently change from one activity to another while operating a switchboard or computer keyboard
Able to handle the stress of high customer demand in a hospitality environment
Must be at least 18 years of age and possess appropriate identification
Dependable
Flexible (to scheduling need of department)
Punctual
Prolonged standing (must be able to stand for prolonged periods, up to 3-4 hours at a time)
Must have excellent English skills (written and verbal), Bilingual a plus!
High School diploma or equivalent
Using initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines
Able to work a flexible schedule
