Our Condominium Association in Ormond Beach is seeking a reliable Temporary Porter to help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the property.
Schedule: 3 days per week (Saturday + 2 flexible weekdays, 24 hrs/week)
Pay: Starting at $18/hour
About the Role
This position supports the day-to-day upkeep of the property, clubhouse, and surrounding grounds. The Temporary Porter will assist with cleaning, light maintenance, and ensuring the community remains safe and welcoming for residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect property daily and keep common areas, clubhouse, and landscaping clean and free of debris.
Maintain laundry rooms (10 total), ensuring they are clean, mopped, and sanitary.
Keep all laundry equipment clean and in good working order.
Complete light maintenance and seasonal projects, including painting, cleaning dryer vents, applying weed killer, and performing minor landscaping (weeding, mulching, etc.).
Maintain the swimming pool as needed—checking chemicals and performing basic cleaning on days when pool service is not on-site.
Use a personal cell phone for business-related communication, including calls, texts, and emails with office staff and board members.
Communicate with residents in a pleasant, professional, and understanding manner.
Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or supply needs promptly.
Safely handle Association-owned tools and equipment.
Qualifications
At least 6 months of similar custodial or maintenance experience preferred.
Experience with basic pool care and chemical checks required.
Reliable transportation required.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be willing to submit to a background check.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and take initiative.
