Daytona Beach General Contractor has immediate openings for EXPERIENCED Construction Carpenters for local work.
Full-time, long-term positions
Drug Free Work Place = Must be able to pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening. WE DO TEST.
Because we do government contracts, you also must be able to pass a nationwide Background Check. No Felonies.
Own Tools, Drivers License and Reliable Transportation Required

Responsibilities
Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements
Lay out flooring, roofing, drywall etc. ensuring they are leveled and compatible
Skills
Proven experience as a Carpenter
Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
Ability to read technical documents and drawings
Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
Knowledgeable in Residential, Commercial and Historical Construction
Good knowledge of English
Good understanding of basic math
Good physical condition and endurance
Job Type: Full-time
