Drewry Site Development is hiring a skilled Paving Screwman to join our team in South Daytona, FL. This is a full-time position working on paving projects across Volusia County. We are seeking dependable, experienced candidates who understand asphalt paving operations and can help ensure smooth, consistent results on every job.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and control the screed on asphalt pavers to achieve proper depth, grade, and finish
- Monitor material flow and adjust settings for even distribution and compaction
- Communicate effectively with the paver operator and ground crew to maintain a steady paving process
- Perform daily equipment checks and assist with maintenance as needed
- Ensure the finished surface meets quality and safety standards
- Work efficiently as part of a paving crew in various outdoor conditions
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a paving screwman or similar paving role preferred
- Knowledge of asphalt mix types, paving equipment, and surface finishing techniques
- Ability to stand, lift, and work long hours outdoors
- Must be reliable, safety-minded, and able to work as part of a cohesive team
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation required
