Description Robert Half is looking for a candidate to support a department as an Accounting Clerk. The main responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk will include but not be limited to assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, and general forms of data entry. Upload financial information to journals and ledgers
Put together statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
Standard accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Mend discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Help Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
Arrange documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
Contribute to Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt
Requirements - Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested
Experience with high volume data entry
Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
Strong familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Sage Accounting Software experience desired
Customer service experience
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
