Here a logistician performs functions such as demand forecasting, material procurement, production planning, inventory control, inventory reductions, cost savings, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution. Creates integrated processes among internal functions and outside suppliers. Develops logistics policies and procedures.HOW A LOGISTICS ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning, and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, maintenance, and/or repair activities
Performs a variety of duties relating to the occupational fields of engineering and logistics such as property accountability, material control, source identification, alternate suppliers, purchase and expedition, equipment and material flow, historical tracking and forecasting
Apply technical knowledge to analyze, develop, and implement logistics plans and processes affecting the production, delivery, and inventory of customer products
Support the accounting of all equipment and support material
Research source identification and alternate source suppliers for replacement parts for equipment and obtain parts through government or commercial channels
Provide activity and status reports to internal and external customers on logistics activities under span of control to include property, deployment of equipment, inventory levels, critical spares stock, and failure trends
Contributes and may provide guidance to the completion of significant logistics projects
Conducts and may guide the supplier audits, assessments and evaluations to ensure conformance to client's quality, cost and delivery performance standards
Identifies complex logistics opportunities for process improvements, inventory reductions, and cost savings
Physical ability to lift or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds as well as move with assistance equipment and boxes in excess of 100lbs
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Education:
Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business administration or a related field of study - preferred

Experience:
2+ years of related experience in logistical/supply operations
