As Stroke Coordinator, you will be supporting and promoting optimal care for our patients with strokes. In addition, you will facilitate the development, education of nurses, care givers at all levels and family. You will implement and adhere to the Stroke Clinical Practice Guidelines. You will encourage the protocols and therapies to become the standard of care for the facility. You will develop your knowledge and competency related to care of the stroke patient (including clinical practice guidelines, HCA metrics and data, American Heart Association/American Stroke Association information/initiatives, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale and other applicable guidelines/initiatives).
You will demonstrate leadership to promote teamwork, work with multidisciplinary groups and facilitate problem-solving tasks, using critical thinking techniques.
You will collect, review and analyze, and presents stroke outcome data to various committees and facility leadership, as well as reports to the division quality leadership.

Requirements:
Current Florida RN license
RN, BSN Preferred
3-5 years clinical experience . Critical Care or ER Experience preferred.
Familiarity with The Joint Commission, Medicare, and State requirements.
Extensive computer knowledge and experience required with emphasis on EMR, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HPF applications.
