You will work on multiple clients' books to provide trial balances/financial statements for Individual and Business Tax Returns preparation during tax season. During the "off season", your work will shift to bookkeeping and/or sales tax filings and other accounting work, as needed.
Responsibilities:
Prepare periodic financial statements for our clients
Analyze and prepare adjustments to accounting records
1099 and sales tax filings
Prepare federal and state payroll filings
Other accounting tasks, as required
Qualifications:
Must be very proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and QBO
Minimum 5 years as an accountant/bookkeeper (ideally for a CPA firm)
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited university
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
Candidate must have strong problem solving and multi - tasking skills, be self-motivated, organized and proactive
PREFERRED Skills and Knowledge:
Prior experience working in / with a public accounting firm
Experience in tax return preparation for both individuals and businesses
This position is remote, and compensation depends on experience. Contractor basis but full-time option may be considered.
