Job Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher to create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment for our 6-7 year-old students. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in elementary education, excellent classroom management skills, and a commitment to helping young learners develop foundational skills in reading, writing, math, and social-emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver dynamic, standards-aligned lessons in core subjects (reading, writing, math, science, and social studies) tailored to 1st-grade learners.
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that supports diverse learning needs and encourages student engagement.
Use differentiated instruction and hands-on activities to promote critical thinking and skill development.
Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school staff to support student growth and school-wide initiatives.
Integrate technology and educational tools to enhance learning experiences.
Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, adhering to school policies and safety protocols.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field
Clear FBI fingerprinting, criminal background check, and child abuse clearance.
Strong understanding of 1st-grade developmental milestones and evidence-based teaching strategies.
Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
Passion for working with young children and fostering a love of learning.
Proficiency with educational technology (e.g., interactive whiteboards, learning apps) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching 1st grade or similar elementary grades.
Familiarity with Common Core State Standards or state-specific curriculum standards.
