Our growing Vehicle Accident Reconstruction practice provides a dynamic working environment built on teamwork to address complex crash events. The Team and Job Summary We are seeking an entry level or experienced Accident Reconstructionist to join our Accident Reconstruction team. This is an opportunity for a motivated person with a well-rounded skill set to join a growing Accident Reconstruction team. The ideal person for this role should have a grasp of accident reconstruction and vehicle dynamics. They should also be flexible and a strategic thinker with a mindset to take on a variety of tasks. Job Responsibilities This position will include the following tasks and projects: ·

Engineering analysis of traffic accidents involving cars, trucks, tractor-trailers, motorcycles, pedestrians, and other vehicles. Perform on-site inspections of accident scenes and vehicles.

Conduct ‘Black box’ data acquisition for passenger vehicles and heavy trucks.

Consult with attorneys and insurance adjusters on matters in litigation or pre-litigation.

Testify as an expert witness in depositions and trials.

Investigate mechanical systems failures and accidents, including researching mechanical systems design and operation.

Perform vehicle dynamics research.

Research, write, and publish technical reports and peer-reviewed publications on topics relevant to accident reconstruction and forensic engineering.

Required Qualifications

Qualified candidates should have a B.S. in Mechanical or Civil Engineering

Some experience in vehicle accident reconstruction is preferred.

Coursework and practical experience in accident investigation, analysis, reconstruction, report preparation and testimony are preferred.

Practical mechanical experience, either professionally, through course work or recreation.

ACTAR certification is preferred

Licensure as a professional engineer is preferred, passing of the FE exam is required for applicants with an engineering degree. Experience in data acquisition systems for vehicle testing is preferred.

Willingness to travel locally.

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

A desire to learn, excel and grow with us and within the profession.

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

Ability to travel as needed, depending on project assignments.

Ability to maneuver in and around an accident site.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to drive their personal vehicle to inspection locations.

Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required by the work site.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $78,000 - $125,000 plus annual bonus eligibility. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, client relationships, etc.
