Description Candidates must be based in South Florida and hold U.S. citizenshipJob Description:I am partnered with a Florida based organization who just received their 2nd round of seed funding and are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Cloud Engineer to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing cloud environments at scale. As a Sr. Cloud Engineer, you will play a critical role in our cloud strategy, working on cutting-edge technologies and helping to drive our cloud adoption and optimization efforts.Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on platforms such as AWS, or Azure.
Develop and maintain automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Ensure the security, availability, and performance of cloud environments through proactive monitoring, incident management, and capacity planning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture and best practices, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Optimize cloud costs and resources by leveraging cloud-native tools and services, monitoring usage, and making recommendations for improvements.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments and streamline the software development lifecycle.
Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and trends, continuously improving our cloud infrastructure and processes.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a related role, with a strong focus on AWS, or Azure
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VPC, VPN, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Expertise in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Knowledge of cloud security best practices and tools, including IAM, security groups, and encryption.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud solutions.
Familiarity with serverless computing and microservices architecture.
