The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for delivering revenue, margin, and market share goals for all client brands in the direct/indirect stores assigned to direct reports, Territory Sales Managers (TSMs). The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for executing strategic and tactical business development plans for the respective region to drive sales and market share growth at every location. The Area Sales Manager is expected to maintain relationships, alignment, and linkage between key individuals within the brand’s sales channels, acting as primary contact for DM level across the carrier partners. The Area Sales Manager will manage activities through a team to build and maintain trusting relationships, train & engage store sales associates on products and devices, promote and advocate products and brands.Essential Functions:

Lead and develop a team of TSMs across a large geographic territory, whose primary role is to visit stores in an assigned region, build and maintain trusting relationships, train & engage store sales associates on products and devices, and promote and advocate products and brand to drive sell-through.

Empower team members to demonstrate thought leadership and decision making by creating a supportive and collaborative environment.

Establish, foster, and drive strong partnerships with carrier regional and field leadership to enhance and promote brand engagement, identify key growth opportunities, and drive overall sell-through for the region.

Inspire and motivate a team of experienced sales professionals to achieve assigned business targets which will include prioritization of store visits during optimal store-traffic periods to maximize impact and meet training objectives.

Form individual and team goals and execute plans to reach targets and direct sales resources to meet trade partner needs and channel requirements.

Maintain highly visible presence both in person and virtually in designated region within assigned territory by conducting regular field visits within region to ensure excellence and value-add from the TSMs store engagements and training events.

Responsible for budget management of market funds, conducting performance reviews, HR policies, training, hiring process, payroll, and other management responsibilities as required.

Maintain a strong level of expectation and ability to lead/coach through various content and mediums when being face to face is not possible.

Highly adaptable to an ever-changing business landscape.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree

5 years of combined direct sales/retail sales experience.

1-3 years’ supervisor / management experience in retail and/or retail sales field management with the ability to manage a diverse, remote team in a performance-based culture focused on sell-through preferred

Proven experience in data reporting and analytical reporting required.

Proven ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity.

Proven experience planning, monitoring, and managing departmental budget.

Passion for technology and leading others with such passion.

Ability to analyze sales and market territory data to provide guidance and direction for under-performing markets within a region including quarterly market evaluations, competitive assessments, KPI calculation, and key recommendations to drive increased sales and market share in the respective region.

Critical thinking to evaluate, assess, and make recommendations to senior leadership based on field sales team's market intelligence and feedback of current business conditions.

Outstanding organizational, time management, attention to detail, and prioritization skills.

Superior interpersonal skills to working closely with Leaders, Territory Sales Managers other team members and clients.

Excellent judgment, effective problem-resolution skills, and the ability to balance multiple demands.

Ability to empower team members to demonstrate thought leadership and decision making by creating a supportive and collaborative environment.

Ability to identify trends to drive key business decisions, develop business goals, and determine how to accomplish results with some guidelines.

Comfortability with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Slides. Meet)

Ability to travel 50-75% of time.
