JOB OVERVIEW:
The Room Attendant is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and efficient service to all
hotel guests and team members. This person is responsible for cleaning units and common
areas, properly disposing of trash, changing linens, and notifying maintenance of any issues.
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
Keeping units, facilities, and common areas clean and well maintained.
Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
Cleaning and stocking restrooms.
Cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment.
Notifying supervisors of necessary repairs.
Collecting and disposing of trash.
Assisting guests when necessary.
Keeping the linen room stocked and in good order.
Properly cleaning upholstered furniture.
Has knowledge of emergency procedures and assists as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to manage time efficiently.
Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the
proper uniform when working.
Ability to work in a multi-tasked and fast-paced environment.
Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
Ability to focus attention on details.
Ability to work well under pressure within any given period of time, which includes
coordinating many requests at any given time.
Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
Ability to work cohesively with others as part of a team.
Ability to be flexible as the job changes, including flexible hours, if necessary.
Education & Experience:
Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.

Physical requirements:
Flexible and long hours sometimes required. Ability to stand during entire shift.
Physical activities include standing, talking, hearing, seeing, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing,
pulling, stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, fingering, bending.
Considerable repetitive motion of arms and legs
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
Handle basic maintenance and cleaning.
Hard worker.
Ability to lift 25 pounds and have an eye for cleanliness.
Must routinely meet deadlines.
