Job Purpose:
Help patients by providing information, services, and assistance.
Hours:
Full-Time.
Duties include but not limited to:
Provide excellent patient service in the office or over the phone
Schedule appointments; verifying times with patients; preparing charts, and consent forms
Ability to answer and triage a multiple line phone system
Verify patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary.
Assist with office procedures such as phlebotomy, EKGs, ear irrigations, etc.
Secure patient information and maintain patient confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records.
Assist patients by communicating physician's orders and answering questions about consult.
Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock.
Skills/Qualifications:
Bilingual a MUST (fluent in both English and Spanish), Phlebotomy Experience, Supply Management, Multitask, Verbal Communication, Infection Control, Creating a Safe and Effective Environment, Organization, Scheduling, Professionalism, Proactive, Multiple Phone Line Management, Customer Focus, Confidentiality, Punctuality, Reliability, Bedside Manner, Medical Teamwork.
Certifications/Past Experience:
Medical Assistant Certification a plus
Past experience a plus
eClincalWorks EHR knowledge preferred
