Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Part-Time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will preferably be certified to perform DOT (Department of Transportation) medical exams or be willing to obtain certification within 60 days of hire. As a part-time FNP, you will play a crucial role in delivering primary care services, managing patient health, and supporting our mission to provide excellent healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive assessments of patients, including physical exams, health histories, and diagnostic evaluations.
Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Provide routine and urgent care, including preventive care, management of chronic conditions, and acute illness treatment.
Administer vaccinations, conduct health screenings, and interpret diagnostic tests.
Perform DOT medical examinations and complete required documentation (if certified or once certification is obtained).
Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Stay current with medical advancements and best practices through continuous education and professional development.
Qualifications:
Valid and active Nurse Practitioner license in Florida.
Bilingual Spanish/English
Preferably certified to perform DOT medical exams or willing to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
Previous experience in a primary care or family practice setting is preferred.
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Schedule:
Part-Time: Mon-Fri 9am-2pm
Compensation:
Competitive $50 hourly rate commensurate with experience plus additional income opportunity.
