Job Description:
Join our professional Medical team as an Insurance Verification Specialist. Our Company, Hormonify is seeking a self motivated, detailed oriented individual to verify insurance benefits and to obtain insurance authorizations. Our successful candidate will serve as a knowledge liaison between our Patients and must have excellent customer service experience.
Duties:
- Verify insurance coverage benefits for new and established patients
- Obtain insurance authorizations and referrals for medical services, tests and procedures
- Must have working experience with all payer types, Commercial, Governmental, Medicare/Medicare replacement plans, Humana, Aetna, BC/BS, United Healthcare
- Update records with accurate patient copayments and insurance information
- Inform relevant clinical staff of insurance denials
- Answer patient questions related to billing and insurance
- Collaborate with management and staff to devise workflow and system efficiencies
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (2+ years of previous Medical / In-Office work experience)
- Prior work experience with health insurance benefits
