Job Title: Personal Assistant, Caretaker,
Location: Miami Beach, Florida
Job Type: Full-time (or part-time if applicable) especially on nights and weekends.
About the Role: This is a unique opportunity to work as a personal assistant and caretaker for a kind and elderly gentleman in his Miami Beach home. The gentleman has mild dementia, so the ideal candidate will be a compassionate individual with patience and understanding when interacting with those living with dementia. The role includes providing care, companionship, and support.
Responsibilities:
Provide assistance with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, and grooming
Administer medication and monitor the gentleman's health, including taking vital signs
Assist with mobility, such as walking and transportation
Handle household tasks, including laundry, shopping, and bill payment
Provide companionship and support
Additional responsibilities may include: (dog walking, cleaning, cooking)
Qualifications:
Experience in a caregiving role is highly preferred, but not required.
Flexibility with nights and weekends is a must.
Must be Fluent in English and poses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable and trustworthy
Patience and understanding and kindness when interacting with someone with dementia.
