Seeking a dedicated English-speaking female caregiver to provide support for a partially disabled woman. This role is perfect for someone who combines their caregiving skills with a deep sense of empathy and possesses a proactive, can-do attitude rather than seeing tasks as outside their responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:
-Personal Care Assistance: Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
-Bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
-Managing urinary catheterization (comprehensive training provided for those willing to learn)
-Bowel program management.
Mobility Support: The individual can transfer independently but requires someone to be present for safety and minor assistance. No heavy lifting is required, but you should have enough strength to offer support and spotting during transfers from bed to wheelchair using a sliding board and aid in sit-to-stand movements with an assistive device. If you have back problems, this would not be for you.
Home: Although we have a dedicated cleaning person, you will be expected to engage in light housekeeping duties, including laundry and maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe living environment. Additionally, a love for dogs is essential. A short walk in the AM and changing the potty pad for our small furry family member will be part of your role.
Companionship: Acting as the eyes, ears, and hands, you will assist in various tasks around the house, making everyday life smoother and more enjoyable.
Requirements:
-Willingness to learn and adapt to the specific needs of the individual, including personal and mobility assistance.
-Strong communication skills, acting as a key support system within the home.
-Non-smokers only with good hygiene and no long acrylic nails
-Flexibility: We value flexibility and aim to accommodate personal schedules. Our caregiver must be available for one weekend day (a Saturday or Sunday) and 1-2 weekdays from 9 AM to 7 PM. While we strive for a consistent schedule, we understand life's demands and offer flexibility around your commitments. Occasional extended hours may be needed for special outings.
Compensation:
Pay: We offer a competitive hourly rate of $20/hour (delivered via Venmo or Zelle).
