Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Pay Range: $20 - $25 per hour
Location: Fort Lauderdale/ Broward Area
Employment Type: 1099 Contract (Independent Contractor)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team as a 1099 independent contractor. The ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance tasks and a strong work ethic. This role requires ownership of necessary tools, reliable transportation, and a valid driver’s license. You will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, machinery, and buildings.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other general maintenance tasks.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Assist with facility inspections and provide maintenance reports.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance work completed.
Respond to emergency repair needs as necessary.
Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to complete assigned tasks.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
Must own a full set of tools required for maintenance tasks.
Reliable transportation and a personal vehicle for travel to job sites.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems is a plus.
Flexibility to work evenings or weekends when required.
Additional Information:
This is a 1099 independent contractor position.
You will be responsible for managing your own taxes and business expenses.
Contractors are expected to provide their own tools and materials for the job.
