Legal Assistant

TrustPoint.One has partnered with an AMLaw 200 firm in their search for a Litigation Legal Assistant to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting attorneys by handling secretarial and clerical tasks, managing schedules, and maintaining files. Responsibilities:

- Open and sort mail

- Enter attorney time sheets into the system daily

- Answer incoming calls, provide non-legal information, route calls to attorneys, and take messages

- Transcribe dictation using the BigHand dictation system and occasionally prepare correspondence independently for attorney approval

- Prepare legal documents as required

- Maintain and organize files, coordinating with file clerks as needed

- Schedule depositions, meetings, and appointments for attorneys

- Occasionally deliver or collect documents to/from courthouses or other legal offices

- Make travel arrangements, including booking flights and hotels

- Maintain attorney's diary and calendar system

- Perform additional administrative duties as required to support the legal team

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of litigation experience in a law firm or legal environment

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and coworkers

- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail

- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and thrive in a team environment
