Miami law firm with concentration in federal employment law seeks an “of counsel” attorney (with possibility of future permanent employment) to litigate and try cases, mostly in Federal court. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere on your own schedule.
Requirements:
MUST have at least 5 years of experience litigating wage & hour, employment discrimination and retaliation cases arising under Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, the FLSA, the FMLA and the FCRA.
MUST have successfully tried at least 3 employment cases to verdict.
MUST have extensive negotiations experience and proven track record settling employment cases.
MUST have superb research and writing skills.
MUST be hungry, persistent, effective and efficient.
MUST be ethical, deliver outstanding client service, and adhere to the highest standards of professionalism.
Bilingual skills are a PLUS.
Experience with employment law compliance (wage & hour audits, employment agreements, employee handbooks, etc.) is a PLUS.
Experience with intellectual property law – namely, trademarks – is a BIG PLUS.
Position Details:
The successful applicant will work remotely under the CEO’s direction via a virtual practice management system. You will be required to provide reports and attend weekly firm meetings via Zoom.
Compensation: Attorney will be paid strictly on commission (25%) contingent on outcome of the cases handled, plus bonuses.
Case Load: We’re looking for a candidate willing to handle a small caseload during the initial 3-month trial period, followed by a substantial caseload thereafter.
The firm will cover all litigation costs and provide all necessary clerical and secretarial support.
