The Unclaimed Property Recovery Specialist is an on-site position responsible for assisting individuals and families in recovering funds legally held by state agencies, financial institutions, and other reporting entities. Specialists handle case intake, verify ownership, assist with documentation, and communicate directly with claimants throughout the recovery process.
This role requires professionalism, accuracy, and strong interpersonal skills. Because the position involves handling confidential information and sensitive financial data, all candidates must successfully pass a comprehensive background check prior to hiring.
✅ Key Responsibilities
Work on-site to contact, assist, and guide claimants through the unclaimed property recovery process.
Review case files, verify ownership, and collect required supporting documents.
Prepare and organize claim packets in compliance with state regulations.
Communicate professionally with claimants, notaries, attorneys, and internal staff.
Manage deadlines, follow-ups, and assigned workloads.
Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all compliance and data-security standards.
