Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our custom cabinet faberication shop. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for millwork. As the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring saftey of operations, quality control of finished products, meeting production time lines and in-house inventory.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise shop staff, including training and development of team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Oversee daily operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering stock and conducting regular audits to minimize waste.
Utilize CNC machine for fabrication of raw materials.
Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new team members.
Implement production strategies to achieve a seamless hand off to install team.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety regulations within the shop environment.
Familiarity with cabinet design software to be able to read and comprehend layouts.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a custom cabinet shop is required! +4 years preffered.
Strong background in managment, task assignment and delegation.
Experience in training development and mentoring staff is highly desirable.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to identify and reslove any issues durning production that may a rise.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative functions.
