Accounting Assistant & Receptionist

Job Description:

The Accounting Assistant & Receptionist will play a key role in our office operations, handling a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of our accounting department and providing excellent front desk service.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Duties:

Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions.

Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end closing procedures.

Maintain accurate and organized financial records.

Support the preparation of financial reports and audits as needed.

Reception Duties:

Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner.

Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages as necessary.

Manage the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and presentable at all times.

Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.

Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings.

Provide general administrative support to the team.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.

Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting software.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
