Field Service Technician Requirements:
We are currently seeking dedicated Field Service Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidates will meet the following requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Proven work experience as a field service technician.
Relevant technical certificate.
Ability to travel and work according to a changing schedule.
Excellent time management skills.
Mechanical and electrical skills.
Ability to problem-solve.
Good communication and training skills.
Physically fit and able to work with heavy equipment.
Important Information for Technicians:
By accepting a work order from Dark Mako, technicians certify that they are performing the work as independent contractors. Independent contractors are responsible for providing General Liability and Workers Compensation insurance coverage for themselves and/or their employees as applicable.
All service calls require a check-IN and check-OUT call, with Dark Mako serving as the main point of contact. Technicians are expected to have a laptop running Windows XP or better, with Hyper Terminal and a console cable often required.
Additionally, technicians must be prepared with a cell phone for all service calls, and Dark Mako is not responsible for cell phone reimbursement or call plan management.
For any inquiries related to Platform Work Orders, scheduling concerns, SL increases, etc., technicians should address them exclusively to Dark Mako. Contacting the End User directly without Dark Mako's approval is strictly prohibited.
Technicians are required to be prepared with all necessary tools, testers, materials, and equipment for the job. Dark Mako does not authorize paperwork to be left with the End User.
Please note that Dark Mako has a 5-business day review process for all work orders. Payment authorization will not occur until the completed hard copy of the Work Order, including IN and OUT times, resolution notes, and the End User signature, is received by Dark Mako accounting. It must be uploaded or sent to the appropriate resource as specified in the work order.

Independent Contractor Agreement:
By accepting this work order, you certify that you are performing this work as an independent contractor.
Responsible for providing General Liability and Workers Compensation insurance coverage for yourself and/or your employees as applicable.
Technology Requirements:
Must have a laptop running Windows XP or better.
Hyper Terminal is often required (see PuTTY.org) as well as a console cable.
ALL service calls require a check-IN and check-OUT call to our main office.
Communication:
ALL service calls require Technicians to be prepared with a cell phone.
Our company is NOT responsible for cell phone reimbursement or call plan management.
Financial Responsibility:
Our company is NOT responsible for reimbursing any taxes, fees, or other applicable charges technicians are required to pay to Field Nation for services rendered.
Point of Contact:
Platform Work Order inquiries, scheduling concerns, SL increases, etc. are ONLY to be addressed to our company.
Client Interaction:
The End User is not to be contacted directly without our company's approval.
Equipment and Tools:
Technician to be prepared with all necessary tools, testers, materials, and equipment for the job.
Our company does not authorize paperwork to be left with the End User.
Work Order Processing:
Please be advised that our company has 5 business days to review, process, and authorize all work orders.
Payment will not be authorized until the completed hard copy of the Work Order has been received by our company's accounting. It must include IN and OUT times, resolution notes, and the End User signature and must be uploaded or sent to the appropriate resource as specified in the work order.
