Entry Level Insulator

Job Title: Insulator Fabricator

Department: Insulation

Reports To: Production Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: Responsible for fabricating insulation components and insulating components and piping by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Responsible for measuring and patterning for fabrication of insulation blankets.

2. Fabricates insulation blankets from measured patterns and/or customer supplied samples.

3. Sews insulation components and blankets.

4. Cuts and trims insulation material.

5. Performs hard coat lag components and piping.

6. Works with fiberglass.

7. Assists lead insulation fabricator technician.

8. Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.

9. Reports any malfunctions or equipment problems to management.

10. Maintains clean, orderly and safe work areas at all times.

11. Takes out trash.

12. Assists fabrication personnel and service technicians.

13. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Education/Experience:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Company will provide new hire with all necessary training.

Complete Benefit Package Available After 60 Day Probation.

Hours of Operation Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
