We are currently looking for an EXPERIENCED commercial automatic doors, doors and door hardware installers. Job requires familiarity with power hand tools for cutting and boring metal, aluminum, and wood, as well as welding; job also requires understanding of mechanical & electrified door hardware and how to adjust hardware for optimum performance. We install all wood, aluminum, and hollow metal doors along with all the scheduled hardware. Assist in the unloading, distribution, and staging of solid wood doors, aluminum, hollow metal doors and frames as well as door hardware on project site; Organize, take inventory, and maintain hardware; Installation of doors and hardware; Ability to complete punch work and communicate completion with foreman and/or project manager. Electrical experience a must and construction experience a plus. We provide company issued tools & equipment as well as a company vehicle.
Must be fluent in English (speak, write, read, and comprehend), Spanish speaking a plus.
We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing as well as periodic spot testing as required by our Insurance Company.

Essential Functions:
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
Understands door hardware templates and schematics
Understands and respects finish work by us and other trades
Understands layout, drilling, anchoring, installation and adjusting doors and hardware
Understands and uses power tools safely
Understands plans and drawings commonly used in new construction
Able to install all wood, aluminum, hollow metal doors with or without new frames and pocket frames and doors, along with all the scheduled hardware
Install cylindrical locks, mortise locks, rim cylinders, interchangeable cores, closers, exit devices (mechanical & electrified), threshold weather-stripping, etc.
Ability to work in cold and hot weather and travel to remote locations and or work out of town
Must have a positive work ethic, a problem-solving mentality, and a 'can-do' attitude
Adheres to company policies and procedures; follows department training guidelines, best practices, and operating procedures
Works well with fellow Associates, Supervisors and Managers
Follows all Location Safety and Security Guidelines

Perform service and installation in accordance with manufacturers recommended installation procedures and specifications.
Document time spent and complete proper documentation detailing any problems, shortages, and inefficiencies in jobsite conditions.

Maintain company vehicle both in appearance and per vehicle maintenance agreement.
Maintain clean, neat personal appearance

Qualifications:
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
Required - a minimum 2-year experience installing and or fixing Automatic Doors/Hollow Metal/ Wood/ Aluminum Doors and Frames as well as Hardware or related products
AAADM certified and experienced automatic door, service technicians preferred
Possess a strong ability in electro-mechanical aptitude
Must have good mechanical ability, able to repair electro-mechanical devices and understand and work with basic electrical circuits and relay logic
Required - a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
High School Diploma / GED is a MUST
Must have good organizational skills
Applicant must be mechanically inclined with carpentry skills and be proficient with hand and power tools
Computer literate is a MUST, (adept with computers and mobile devices as required for data entry and communications)
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Must be able to work in a fast pace environment
Ability to work successfully under the pressure of deadlines and to accept new ways of doing business
Installation of hinges, locksets, door closers, etc
Adjustment of all hardware to achieve optimal function
Some finish carpentry
Carrying and loading doors with or without the help of others
Troubleshooting issues in the field
Punch work
Trimming and cutting of doors to fit frames
ADA & Fire Code Compliance
Communication Skills:
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read, write and understand verbal instructions
Strong customer service skills
Mathematical Skills:
Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Reasoning Ability:
Must be able to follow instructions, work independently and or within a team environment
Physical Demands:
This position involves regular walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, hearing, and talking.
Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 lbs.

Salary based on experience
Bonus dependent upon performance
Work Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. -5:30 p.m.
Work 2 weekends a month through rotation
On-Call evenings and weekends
